The Wonder of Christmas.

I wonder as I wander out under the sky,
How Jesus the Savior did come for to die.
For poor orn'ry people like you and like I...
I wonder as I wander out under the sky.

When Mary birthed Jesus 'twas in a cow's stall,
With wise men and farmers and shepherds and all.
But high from God's heaven a star's light did fall,
And the promise of ages it then did recall.

If Jesus had wanted for any wee thing,
A star in the sky, or a bird on the wing,
Or all of God's angels in heav'n for to sing,
He surely could have it, 'cause he was the King

Don't lose your wonder at Christmas.
The Word became flesh,
God came as a child
to take the sins of the world.

Be amazed
Be in awe
But do not grow cold to Christmas.

  1. Thanks Olga!!!
This is a great song! Recently I've been trying to imagine what it would have been like to be there... To be the shepherds... To have angels come to you, to be completely terrified and have them tell you do not be afraid for the Lord has come to take your sins... and then to have them sing in the most beautiful of voices... Then to see the Lord... as a baby for the world..
ah what a beautiful and amazing night!!!!
